Improve your Work Environment

Just imagine what you could achieve if you were organised, comfortable, well-rested and in the right frame of mind. Read on and I'll tell you how you can improve your work environment in the four key areas.

Your Working Environment Matters

We weren’t designed to sit for 8 hours a day staring at a computer screen, however that’s what modern working practices expects and to be honest I’d prefer to be coaching a client over video than foraging for grubs. If you’re like me, the hours fly-by when you’re engrossed in work, however this working approach has it’s downside:

  • Pain in our backs, shoulders and arms result from poor posture and repetitive actions.
  • A cluttered environment, both physical and vertical, leads to cluttered thinking.
  • Stress and anxiety is at it’s peak through poor boundary setting as our homes increasingly also become our workplace.
  • Hours are spent ploughing through poorly prioritised to-do lists with little thought for what is or isn’t important.

Your training was really informative. I hadn't even realised that there were different ways of seeing disability. I will certainly be more proactive in removing barriers going forward.
